Went home today!!!

So today was the big day, Almonds and I got to take Wade home at around 6:30 pm (after sitting around waiting to get discharged)...many pics to follow.

Today we had the hospital photographer take some pictures of our handsome little man...video to follow of Momma and the photographer fussing over him.  This was one of the few times we've allowed him to have a pacifier...you'll see once the final photos are out that it was well worth it.

Lastly, we're heading home tomorrow, so we should have some pics/vids of Wade going home to Bloomfield and meeting Parker...should be interesting.  Let's hope Wade isn't too rough with Parker, he's a sensitive puppy.

The Journey Here...

Early this week, Almond's Dr. confirmed what we suspected all along, that Gay children have incredibly large heads.  What this meant is that our kid wouldn't fit through the birth canal and Wednesday morning it was decided to schedule a C-Section for Thursday afternoon.  Lucky for us, our town was dumped on with 18+ inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning...fun for the whole family (especially Dad)!  Fortunately, the main roads were fine by the time we had to leave for the hospital and off we went...

After 39+ weeks of waiting Matthew Wade De Leon Gay arrived on Thursday January 27th at 4:35 pm.  8 lbs 1 oz and 20.5 inches long...and if you haven't guessed by the name of this blog, he prefers to go by Wade (but Uncle Jim is still working on a nickname for him)
