3 Months Old

So like all good intentions, my ability to update this blog with some frequency has gone slightly by the wayside...however, we're still here and I plan on doing my best to get here a little more often in the future.

Couple of updates:

As of this posting, Wade is 3 months and 1 day old!  And this afternoon, for the first time ever, he rolled over from his stomach to his back.  It could have been accidental but the wife and I think his strong lefty-push-up (he's definitely going to be left-handed), and the momentum from his 50 lb head, rolled him over.

For Easter weekend, we took our first long road trip down to Raleigh NC to visit Lola B, Pop Pop and Uncle Simon...we left at 1 am on Friday morning and had nothing but smooth sailing on the trip there.

(My favorite)

The ride home was much more eventful and taught us a new rule to apply moving forward: always leave in the middle of the night.  Our return trip started at 9:45 Monday morning and didn't end until 10:00 Monday night (5 or 6 stops and obscene amounts of traffic for that one).

Here's the boy in one of his calmer moments (and poor Parker patiently waiting to to get home).

I also wanted to mention that Wade had his first official photo shoot a few weeks ago.  We got some great shots...he was an absolute champ.

And then we have our standard daily photos that Mommy takes for me with her phone...

14 lbs and other milestones...

So... we've had some nice milestones these past few weeks! Wade had his 2-month check up today which meant his first round of shots... he also weighed in at a whopping 14 lbs at only 9.5 weeks old.  By this measurement, he's in the 90th percentile.  His length was 23 & 3/4, the 50th percentile.  He's so much like his father: he's an average height boy with a little extra weight for loving...

Oh yeah, check out those chunky ham hock hands of his...delicious

Wade also started sleeping through the night about 2 weeks ago (between 6 and 8 hrs at a clip).   So Mommy is feeling much better!!!  Doesn't she look beautiful?  Notice the Orange and Blue Syracuse colors we're rocking...very corny.

Not only is he sleeping through the night, this kid is a complete morning person!  He wakes up smiling and laughing, and I usually get to spend a few minutes in the morning with him before I leave for work...

When he is sleeping, Wade has a habit of keeping his arms straight up in the air or over his head.

Finally, here are some random pics of Wade hanging in the living room on the couch or in his swing.
